The Austrian Society of Allergology and Immunology has the opportunity to offer a prize of 4.000,- Euro for the year 2021, donated by the ÖGAI and the Karl Landsteiner & Eisler-Terramare Foundation Gedächtnis-Privatstiftung, for outstanding work in the field of basic immunological research.
For this award, one paper per scientist can be submitted, for which he/she is first author (including 1st co-authorship) and which deals with molecular and/or cellular immunological/immunopathological topics. Papers from clinical immunology may be considered if they address essentially basic immunological questions. The work must have been published within the last 2 years in a recognised scientific journal with a strict review system and must have been carried out entirely, or at least predominantly, at an Austrian institution. This work must not have been previously awarded a prize, nor submitted for a prize elsewhere at the same time. Resubmissions are not permitted. The submitter must be a member of the Austrian Society for Allergology and Immunology.
The latest submission date is June 30, 2021.
The paper is to be submitted as an overall reduced-size pdf document including scanned hand-signed consent forms from co-authors and short CV to email@example.com. If a reviewer would like a print copy, we may ask you to mail one to us.

The Board of the Austrian Society of Allergology and Immunology decides on the awarding of the prize on the basis of proposals from international experts. There is no division of the prize, the award is given to the submitter.
The award will be presented at the ÖGAI Meeting 2021.
