ÖGAI members have the chance in 2021 to support the active participation in (hybrid) events with 5 travel grants of 500,- Euro each, as well as 20 grants of 100,- Euro each for the registration fees at virtual congresses.
The scholarships serve to promote young scientists. The maximum age of the applicant may therefore not exceed 35 years. A further requirement is the presentation of a subject-specific abstract at the respective event. Furthermore, it is pointed out that one and the same congress contribution can only be submitted once for a travel grant. The scholarships can be applied for before (as long as all documents are available) as well as after the desired congress.
In order to make the work of the members of our society internationally visible, the board would like the logo of the ÖGAI to be used for poster or oral presentations and to appear on the first presentation page of lectures. On the posters the ÖGAI logo should be used in the upper right corner in the format 8 x 8 cm. Recipients of the Travel Awards are obliged to use the ÖGAI logo in their presentations, as well as the reference to support at the bottom of a poster or the last slide.
Applications including the completed application form, the submitted abstract, confirmation of a presentation and a short curriculum vitae should be sent as one complete pdf document with reduced size in electronic form to the secretariat of the ÖGAI(email@example.com). The applications are assessed by the company’s Management Board. If awarded, confirmation of attendance at the Congress must be provided.
The travel grants are only awarded to ÖGAI members.
Submission deadlines are 15 May and 15 November of each year.
