It is our great pleasure to announce that the next Annual Conference of \u00d6GAI will take place in Vienna between November 4-6 2026 at the Medical University of Vienna (Van Swieten Saal, Van-Swieten-Gasse 1a, 1090 Vienna).<\/p>\n

We have an exciting line-up of speakers and sessions. We will open with a session chaired by the \u00d6GAI Immunometabolism working group, will then learn about the latest insights into post-acute infection syndromes, spotlight novel approaches for the design of CAR T cells and hear about how the microbiome impacts the gut-brain axis. Further highlights include a session by the \u00d6GAI B Cell Working Group, joint sessions with the Austrian Society for Rheumatology and the FWF SFB HIT research program, as well as an engaging session with the Danube Allergy Research Cluster (DARC), all fostering strong cross-disciplinary collaboration and scientific exchange. In addition, early-stage researcher and postdoctoral fellows will present their findings in oral presentations embedded in the various sessions and in guided poster tours.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, we will also celebrate scientific excellence of the next generation of scientists and will present the \u00d6GAI prizes for the best papers in the field of Allergology (Clemens von Pirquet prize) and Immunology (Karl Landsteiner prize) and the best dissertation awards. Moreover, in the \u00d6GAI Medal award session we will honor outstanding scientists who have made important contributions in the fields of allergology or immunology and have a closer connection to the \u00d6GAI or its members. The meeting will close on Friday afternoon with the Ruth Sonntag Nussenzweig Award session and the EFIS-EJI Ita Askonas prize session. These distinguished awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of women in science, raising their visibility and contributing to a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse scientific community. Further details on both prizes are provided in subsequent sections of the program.<\/p>\n

With their contributions, we provide a dynamic meeting platform to share exciting new research data, discuss their translational and clinical applications and explore their broader scientific implications. We further promote networking among scientists, clinicians and exhibitors.<\/p>\n
