Working group „Immunometabolism“

To support their effector functions, immune cells adapt their metabolic requirements in response to activation or to the surrounding environment. Understanding the metabolic needs of immune cells is therefore key to understand how immunity works in health and disease. The Working Group (WG) “immunometabolism” aims to connect scientists studying immunometabolism in basic, translational and clinical settings. To promote collaborations and exchange of expertise, as well as to foster the next generation of immunologists, the WG will meet four times a year online and once per year in person, at national and international immunology meetings, such as the ÖGAI annual meeting or the ECI and IUIS conferences. If you want to join, please contact Matteo Villa (E-Mail) and Stefano Angiari (E-Mail).
