ÖGAI mission statement

The Austrian Society for Allergology and Immunology, ÖGAI for short, is the national specialist society for all scientists and physicians who deal with the immune system and its diseases, such as allergies or autoimmune diseases.

The ÖGAI promotes and supports research in allergy and immunology as well as clinical and practical allergology and immunology. The ÖGAI combines science with medicine, promotes training and provides a platform for the “Next Generation Immunologists“, thus passing on the fire of enthusiasm to the next generation.

The Austrian Society for Allergology and Immunology

  • unites more than 600 Austrian allergologists and immunologists from science and medicine

  • improves the lives of patients with allergies and immune disorders
  • is competent in allergies, autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiencies, infectious diseases, vaccinations and tumor diseases
  • provided a worldwide network with the international societies for allergology and immunology

  • celebrated her 50th birthday in 2021
