For the year 2021, the ÖGAI had the opportunity to award again scientifically excellent dissertations in the field of allergology or immunology.

The 1st ÖGAI Dissertation Award, donated by Ursula and Fritz Melchers, went to Louisa Hill, Institute for Molecular Pathology (IMP), for her PhD thesis: Factors and regulatory elements controlling immunoglobulin locus contraction during V (D) J recombination ”.

The 2nd ÖGAI Dissertation Award went to: Johanna Strobl, University Clinic for Dermatology, Medical Univ. Vienna for her PhD thesis: From immunosuppression to inflammation-Human tissue-resident memory T cells.

The 3rd ÖGAI Dissertation Award went to: Alexandra Gülich, Institute for Immunology, Center for Pathophysiology, Infectiology and Immunology, Medical Univ. Vienna: for her PhD thesis: Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of CD8 + T cell differentiation.
