ÖGAI Annual Conference 2026

Dear ÖGAI members, dear friends and colleagues,

it is our great pleasure to announce that the next Annual Conference of ÖGAI will take place in Vienna between November 4-6 2026 at the Medical University of Vienna (Van Swieten Saal, Van-Swieten-Gasse 1a, 1090 Vienna).

We have an exciting line-up of speakers and session. We will open with a session chaired by the ÖGAI Metabolism working group, will then learn about the latest insights into post-acute infection syndromes, spotlight novel approaches for the design of CAR T cells and hear about how the microbiome impacts the gut-brain axis. Further highlights are a session chaired by the ÖGAI B Cell working group and a joint session with the Austrian Society for Rheumatology underscoring cross-society collaboration. In addition, early-stage researcher and postdoctoral fellows will present their findings in oral presentations embedded in the various sessions and in guided poster tours.

During the meeting, we will also celebrate scientific excellence of the next generation of scientists and will present the ÖGAI prizes for the best papers in the field of Allergology (Clemens von Pirquet prize) and Immunology (Karl Landsteiner prize) and the best dissertation awards. Moreover, in the ÖGAI Medal award session we will honor outstanding scientists who have made important contributions in the fields of allergology or immunology and have a closer connection to the ÖGAI or its members. The meeting will close on Friday afternoon with the Ruth Sonntag Nussenzweig Award session and the EFIS-EJI Ita Askonas prize session.

We also thank all sponsors for their generous support. With their contributions, we can provide a meeting platform to share exciting new research data, discuss its translational and clinical applications and implications, and promote networking among scientists, clinicians and exhibitors.

We look forward to three exciting days of science and an engaging and inspiring meeting that connects basic research with translational approaches that will foster clinical innovation.
