The society’s prizes have a long tradition.
The ÖGAI awards prizes in 2 categories.

One category is reserved for outstanding publications: the Karl Landsteiner Prize, which honors outstanding work in the field of basic immunological research, and the Clemens von Pirquet Prize for special findings in the field of allergy research.

The second category of the ÖGAI prizes includes the dissertation prizes, which are awarded to the best scientific doctoral theses in the field of allergology or immunology.

The annual awarding of the prizes is only possible thanks to the generous support of a number of sponsors.
