To honor outstanding scientists who have made important contributions in the field of allergology and have a closer connection to the ÖGAI or its members, the ÖGAI awards the Clemens von Pirquet Medal (since 1986).

Call for nominations: at the beginning of each year, all ÖGAI members are invited to nominate scientists for the award of the Clemens von Pirquet Medal (details will be announced in January). The ÖGAI board decides on the award winners on the basis of the nominations submitted.
