Dear ÖGAI members!
We are pleased to announce that after more than 15 years of negotiations, Austria is currently introducing a formal specialization in allergology. It is not a separate specialty, but a 1 1/2-year additional specialty in dermatology, otolaryngology, internal medicine/pneumology, pediatrics, clinical immunology, occupational medicine, and general medicine. It is an ongoing process that will take several years to fully implement the new specialty for young physicians.
