On Saturday, April 29, “Immunology Day” will be celebrated worldwide. This is intended to create awareness of the importance of immunology and immunological research in the fight against infections, autoimmunity and cancer. For Immunology Day, we asked our members to submit photos of themselves and the research labs. The result is something to be proud of!
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the death of the great Austrian physician, immunologist and humanist Karl Landsteiner. Please visit the Immunology Research Cluster lecture by Prof. Pickl on the life and work of Karl Landsteiner and the importance of his research, which shows how sustainable immunological research can be(Youtube).
In addition, Prof. Wiedermann-Schmidt will give a lecture at the International Day of Immunology on 29.4.2023 of the International Union of Immunological Societies(LINK).
