IMMUNOLOGICAL TRAINING IN AUSTRIA
This ÖGAI expert group takes the lead in coordinating and harmonising immunological teaching between the individual universities.
She has been instrumental in the training regulations for Clinical Immunology specialists, and is involved in the implementation of the specialisation in Allergology.
The cooperation with the European Union of Medical Specialists (IUMS) for harmonization with the European curricula in immunology was indispensable for this ÖGAI specialist group. A further goal is the creation of accompanying structures to enable the further training of immunologists (PhDs) as well as clinical immunologists (MDs) and to secure their accreditation.
